jason_whang
Stumbled upon this just a little while ago, thought it was pretty cool. I've just never seen anyone spray paint their camera.<div></div>
franklin_polk
There was a guy on ebay about a year ago who spray painted a 600/4 grey. It was a crappy job, too, nothing was masked like it is in that photo, and all of the switches were painted over. That photo looks like someone really put time into painting their camera. bdp
I think that's a temp "sticky" skin for hte camera lens.
jason_whang
-Bob I'm not sure about that. Not only does it have the same color scheme but if you look closely you can see quite a bit of wear around the zoom/focus ring as well as some of the leading edges of the lens. geoffs1
I'm not good with military uniforms, but I understand the Marines have all their camera gear painted in camo. It kind of makes sense if you don't want to stand out...
sfh
I think it's paint too - notice the edges of the function wheel.
jean_marc_liotier
There are neoprene camo socks to make the large white lenses less visible. They are of course removable and as a bonus they provide some extra protection which makes sense for outdoor use. The downside is that they are quite expensive. jcolwell
That's not spray paint, it's custom camo. I'd like to see the hood.
jason_whang
-James It is spray paint, just that it has been carefully masked with a pattern and several different colors of paint. I've seen work like this done to rifles.
