Using images in portfolio

I can only speak about norwegian laws, but from what I recall a photographer is free to promote his services with the pictures he or she have taken, without a release form. The law where you live might be different.

 

I would recommend you get one anyhow as a courtesy to the subjects. I know I do. I also respect the clients wishes if they doesn't want to have their picture featured in my online/offline portfolio.
