dennis osipiak
I did my search..4pages later I'm ready for help. I want to find and purchasesome relatively inexpensive folding or collapsible short seats/stools for somevariety in posing larger Bridal parties and or families for weddings outdoors.Years ago lots of discount stores ( a dissappearing breed) carried simple canvasor metal foldup stools that were about 30-36 inches tall. I've googled outdoorequipment suppliers, lawn furniture searches, and the traditional walmart, target, Sears etc with no luck. Any ideas/links? Sturdy enough to be safe, lightenough to collapse and carry a few easily.ThanksDennis
ibdnzgr
Not sure if they are online or not, but Wal-Mart sure has a great selection in the store (Oklahoma). I"ve seen the regular metal folding chair, same with cusion, and a cool folding metal stool with very short back. I think that was only $16 or so. I've seen some more "modern" styled folding stools there too. I am sure Target has similar, but you sometimes have to just go into the stores to find them. mark_lapolt___new_haven__c
You're in CT, so I'm sure you've heard of Expect Discounts...They had a sale about this time last year selling off what I'm sure was a surplus lot of this circular folding stools that you used to see every wedding photog toting around. I got the flyer on a Friday went to go buy a few on Sunday, and they were already sold out. Let me know if you find any.
watchin
I've used a portable piano bench which works fairly well and is comfortable enough that the old folks will sit and not complain :{) Don't know about the 30-36" tall, that's pretty high up. These are normal sitting height and adjustable to a degree (3 settings) for $19.99 Take a look at Radio Shack (yep said RS, strange world huh?) http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=bench&origkw=bench&sr=
watchin
Just looked at my own link again ... and there's one for $9.95 (which is the same as the Yamaha one without the BIG name)..Such a deal!!!
picturesque
Here's what I found googling. The top middle black one is one that I have--I have them in two heights and got them at Target, which doesn't have them anymore. Wish I'd bought more at the time. http://www.stacksandstacks.com/home-furnishings/stools-metal/

ken dennis
I have 2 that are exactly like the one that Nadine described and shows in her link, I purchased an all black one at Wal-mart, the other is identical except it has a blue seat cushion, I purchased that one at our local Dollar General store for $6.99. picturesque
No, but I have seen other wedding photographers that do. I use them for outdoor portraits.
