fund raiser for Red Cross

Recommended Posts

I was asked to take pictures at a fund raiser for the red cross. I'm no

professional, but would like your advice any anything you offer my way. I will

be taking pictures of couples, families and who ever else there might be. There

will also be 2 Dalmatian dogs posed in the picture. I was wondering about a

flash and the eyes of the people and of coarse the dogs. I know that the red

eye is always out there and I worry about this part.

I have the following lens, 28-300 mm, and the AF-S VR Nikkor 70-200mm 1:28G.

If any one of you could guide me through this, and tell me what mode I should

shoot these pictures in? I usually use the auto for just about everything I

shoot. This is not my area with using the different settings.

I hope someone can help out with these few questions. The event is Thursday

evening.

Thanks so much in advance,

Roberta

Your post heading couldn't be more misleading, really.

This is a question about taking indoor pictures with a flash, not about a fund raiser for the Red Cross...

Get a diffuser for your flash (such as the one made by Stofen) and you'll be all set.
