Ricoh Caplio GX100 w/Removable Electronic Viewfinder

Ricoh announced this camera due to sell in late April:

I know it's not a rangefinder camera but it has some interesting details that

rangefinder shooters will probably like.

 

Given the interest in the GR-D here I assume that some may be interested.

Appart the lense, it looks very close to the GRD. A camera with a zoom lense and the user interface of the GRD sounds great. I hope that with their 10 MPx sensor they will deal properly with the high ISO issues (by the way who like the noise of the GRD at 800 ISO ? ... Just kidding... :)

The lens is as wide and fast as the one on the GR-D. Plus it shoots RAW files.

yehh, if it's like the GR-D, ya can have a beer and a grill a steak while waiting for it to

write Raw files.

Compare to Leica, even M3..Leica viewfinders are so squinty that we resort to accessory finders even for relatively normal focal lengths...like 28mm. Ricoch's accessory finder. if well-designed and implimented, would allow the camera to remain a real pocket rocket when removed.
