jorge_torralba2
These were all taken without any filters. Hence no cyan corners :) In myopinion, the WATE is awesome but it falls short when compared to the Zeiss 15. I have posted these on a few sites already. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/158/428714869_1f5ea8bfe8_o.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/187/428714860_47fa75c9bf_o.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/155/428714837_a1ecc077db_o.jpg B&W here http://www.flickr.com/photos/torralba/sets/72157594562885542/

emile_de_leon9
Jorge,The photos look great, but have you shot on a M6 or such to see how this lens really performs in the corners full frame? Emile/www.deleon-ulf.com
Bill Blackwell Images
"In my opinion, the WATE is awesome but it falls short when compared to the Zeiss 15." You've lost me. Which Distagon are you comparing to the 15 (which is also a Distagon, by the way)? “When you come to a fork in the road, take it ...” – Yogi Berra

vivek iyer
I wonder how this 15mm on an M8 compares with the 20/5.6 Russar on a full frame..hmm. As someone already pointed on the LUF, the zoom (tri) elmar is cheaper with the 30% discount than this Zeiss lens.
stevep
>As someone already pointed on the LUF, the zoom (tri) elmar is cheaper with the 30% discount than this Zeiss lens.< So for a select, tiny group - only a fraction of which will have chosen the WATE, that is true, but is that relevant? Makes about as much sense as comparing used prices on one item to new on another. The 30% discount was a one-off and not relevant to any purchaser today. edlaurpic
Jorge - Your most recent photos are terrific. Also, the horizon seems where it should be in these shots, which makes a big difference in perspective. Were these hand-held?
john_r._fulton_jr.
While we're on the subject (whatever that is) has anybody shot the WATE (I like the name) on full frame?? 'Just wondering. I'm assuming it's excellent.
jorge_torralba2
Yes, Hand held. BTW, here is a 100% crop of the far right http://farm1.static.flickr.com/153/428831345_37ff911d18_o.jpg
