eos 10 fan
A small teaser from Shawn Barnett:
"What I'm more excited about is the radical interface improvements that makeall this impressive power more accessible to the photographer."
Read thepreview here:
<ahref="http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/E1DMK3/E1DMK3A.HTM">http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/E1DMK3/E1DMK3A.HTM
mars c
"But with that anticipation comes a sense of responsibility. The 1D Mark III costs $4,000, not including the lens. You better take a good picture!" Very true, hahahah :)
ralph_jensen
Great report; thanks for linking. The video of 10 frames per second is pretty cool. And I was really impressed by the still-life Sample image at ISO6400; as the reviewer says, Yes, there's noise, but considering the speed: wow! Quite a camera.... beauh44
"Imagine our amazement and delight then, upon discovering that the 1D Mark III lets you (the user) tune its micro-focusing behavior! That's right, you can now directly adjust the camera's front/back focus characteristic yourself, without having to send it in to Canon for repair."
This will devastate all the "front/back focus-whiners" who will then be forced to flock to Nikon in droves in order to buy 20 copies of a lens in order to find one "good" one.
What were those Canon guys thinking? ;-)

bryan_andersen
What were those Canon guys thinking? ;-)
Self preservation. I bet all those pixel peeped front/back focus returns were driving Canon crazy and distracting the repair guys from important repairs. My guess is we will see it on all their new EOS digital cameras. This way the user or camer shop can do a focus correction without canon ever ahving to see it.
nels
Beau, my 1DIII front/back focus adjustment wheel is hard to turn. Is this normal or should I send the camera in for repair?
