cassidy_duhon
Anyone have any favorite portfolio web site designers? I'm looking for somethinghigh end with a content management system that allows text and photos to bechanged using only a web browser. Flash, or something with animated elements, isa must. I've seen the sites at http://www.bludomain.com and http://www.livebooks.com ...I'm interested in something like this, but are there other options? Any othergreat template sites, or maybe an awesome designer that does custom work with acontent management system built in? Give me any ideas you can, show me finished sites you love, or plug yourfavorite designers. Thank you!
re_photography
I use www.bigblackbag.com. The name refers to the large, flat portfolio bags artists use to transport work.

I was introduced to them by another professional photographer who I went to school with. Fairly reasonably priced, good mix of preset options and custom design abilities, easily modifiable, avaible (additional cost) options of adding capacity and expanding with event proof hosting and web-store for handling orders/invoices.

My site is www.ryanephotography.com if you want to take a look, though admittedly there are probably better examples of what is capable if you spend more time customizing things. Examples of sample site designs people have created are linked to from the home page.
larry_kincaid1
Not sure what you mean by "high-end", but you should check out http://www.zenfolio.com/ to see if it meets your needs. Fits mine perfectly.
jordan_banks1
I hired a freelancer form my local area to custom build my webpage as i do not have the time to do this myself and he built exactly what i wanted and if i want to add a new page for he will do it very quickly. I am able to manage the page myself, upload images, change images and enter all text. You can view my page at www.jordanbnaksphoto.com I would imagine there are free lance webdesigners in your area. Students are always a good idea too so maybe check the local colleges.
john_kim19
I would think before going with bludomain. I purchased a new interface when they first launched and have been providing them with a list of bugs ever since. It's been 8 days thus far and I'm still not live even though I have all my templates ready. I've sent a couple emails thus far to them but haven't heard anything back yet. sfh
I use iWeb on my mac, then upload to Godaddy. It looks like this: http:// www.forrestbentham.com I think it looks pretty professional, and the gallery page has a slideshow. Though I know some html, you just click and drag in iWeb.
