caldwell_b
Where can I buy NEW D70s? I can't find them at B&H and Adorama. Any other suggestions? Is refurbished camera almost as good as new camera? Why are they refurbished? Would you buy a used or refurbished D70s if they are the same price? Matt Laur
If a product is refurbished by the manufacturer, then it's essentially as good as new. Usually, it will be under warranty, etc. Most often, a product has simply been returned, and retailer has sent it back to the factory (since they aren't allowed, legally, to sell it as new once another person has already taken delivery of it - even if just for a day). If a product was refurbished because of a manufacturing defect, then essentially you've just got a brand new AND debugged product. Refurbished (by Nikon!) vs. used, at the same price? No brainer: refurbished. But like you say, finding them is the trick. KEH.com is showing three EX+ condition D70s bodies right now, around $500. leigh_mazion
Try your local shops ... that's where I got mine about a month ago. The Ritz camera in my area also has serveral left at a very good price (Ritz on line has been sold out for a month).
chansonbleu
I agree with Leigh. Check out some local camera stores. I live in rural NH and my local store (Flash Photo) has one on the shelf. Good luck on your search. Its a great camera.
