donald_schluter Posted February 3, 2007 Share Posted February 3, 2007 Recently, I purchased a Mamiya Model 3 quick release plate for my Mamiya 7. I figured that almost any of the Arca style quick releases clamps would be compatible. Surprising the Model 3 plate is about 35 mm deep and much too narrow to accomodate most Arca style clamps(narrowest they will accomodate is approx. 40 mm). Customer service reps at the dealer were unable to offer up an alternative. Can someone who is a Mamiya 7 user offer up a quick release clamp(1/4" thread) compatible with the Model 3 QRP? Says does not work with M7 cable release but it should work with the M7 but not the M7ii. I have the M7ii and simply filed out a very very small area for the cable release and it has been wonderful.
