minhnguyen9113
Polaroid 110 in 2 1/8 x 4 1/4 format
Sunday morning I took a ride on Hollywood Blvd with my Black Beauty Polaroid 110. When I took couple pictures in front of The Mann Chinese theatre, a young man with a nice P&S digital asked what kind of camera I have. A Polaroid I answered. It's an instant camera, isn't it?. Yes it is. Can I see the picture?. No, It's worthless to see pictures now, but if you want Pause I take your picture and you can see it on Photo.net Classic camera forum. He stared at me with a suspicious look and walked away. I went on to take some more pictures. Suddenly I saw Marilyn looked at me and said I love that camera and she made a nice kick when I raised the Polaroid up. After taking the pictures I walked up and thank her. Marilyn and Charlie told me they have many, many marvelous pictures taken by those Black Beauties in the 50's and 60's at home.
I think I have to come back to bring them a gift. Yes, their picture on Hollywood Blvd. See you next trip...

joshx
Minh, did you modify this to use 120 film? If so, very cool.

patrick j dempsey
Great work Minh!!!!! the first shot is very nice! The third shot is really fun... not only Charlie and Marilyn, but the reaction of the guy on the left to them... AND the actress on the poster behind them seems to be watching them too! I also enjoy the woman on the right side about to take a photo of you with her fancy new digital point-and-shoot. :) It looks like you are not having any technical issues with this camera... I've noticed some of your modified cameras you have had issues with light leaks and curled film, but these look solid!
minhnguyen9113
Thanks for your feedbacks. This camera is modified to take 120 roll film and has 4 different formats 6x4.5 , 6x6 , 6x9 , 6x12. I jot down what I'm thinking to make us a minute relax and a laugh after a hard working day. Gene, thanks. Your words make me more confident, I'll do better next time. The B&W film looks more flat than color film, I try harder for my next cameras Patrick.
