roxanne_bittman
Hi, I am new to digital photography and have been using a Nikon N90S plus SB-28 flash unit til now.I just bought a Nikon D80 body and would like to know if anyone knows if the SB-28 Speedlight will function (fully) with this body? Thanks for the help. Roxanne Bittman
benjaminkux
Hi Roxanne, Unfortunately not. Only the SB-400, SB-600 and SB-800 are compatible with Nikon's newest i-TTL. When the SB-28 is set to TTL, bodies such as the D80 will not allow the shutter to fire. The SB-28 remains usable on other settings though, such as A, and M. eye-of-searle
I recently had this ame question. http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00J5am In short, set camera to "A" mode and flash to "A". You have to set the zoom range on the flash as well as the aperture. Worked fine, just no TTL.
