dan_brown10
How about one of you Leica accessory venders building use one of these:
A little metal device that slides into an M6 hot shoe and that flips down over the front of the camera (no drilling required) and provides three simple functions. One: Makes a little hood over the viewfinder window to protect it from smudges. Two: makes a little hood over the rangefinder window to protect it from smudges. Three: has a little window the covers the frameline illummination window that shades the center of it to prevent that annoying finder flare problem, while still allowing the frame lines to be illuminated. Extra bonus too! It covers the oft dreaded red Leica logo.
I'd give $25 for a well made unit such as this.
wilhelm
It sounds like you are looking for a BSFTLK, or a BSFTLK-M. They occassionally come up on eBAy at about $280 for Mint Minus examples, although I haven't seen one lately. I'm not sure that it works correctly on the M6. paul_nelson3
Bill, is an eye-cup made for a M6 eyepiece, or would I have to use a diopter. (Sorry to barge in, Dan, but if Bill knows about a BRFST-M or whatever, I'm sure he knows the answer to my question.)
Regards to you both, PN
jay_.
The correction eyepieces for the Nikon FM2n can be reversed (threads facing out)and will press-fit over the rubber M6 eyepiece (I've used them in a pinch...they can get knocked off easily so it's not a permanent solution, but they're available down to -5 vs -3 for the Leica diopters and I needed a -4)so I would make an educated guess that the FM2n eyecup p/n DK-3 could be slipped over the M6 eyepiece, Perhaps it might need a little trimming.
What I would like to see made to fit the hot shoe and flip up, is a magnification goggle that would either boost an 0.58 to 0.85 or the reverse. joshroot
As far as flash shoe accessories go, I'd like to see one of these made for leica/voigtlander/hexar/etc. :
http://www.cameraquest.com/sp.htm
