lennartmaschmeyer
Hi, I just tried out my new K10D with a Hoya R72 Filter, it seems to work quite well, apart from quite long exposure times needed. here are some examples, I thought it might be interesting for some people:
image 1
image 2
image 2
They were all shot as raw with the DA 16-45mm lens at f4,5 and 20s exposure in bright daylight. converted to b&w in photoshop.
cheers
Lennart
john carter
Someone posted the fact that the K10d will not do IR. I see that he was wrong, very nice. I haven't tried IR with my K10d because of the previously mentioned post. But I have used my DL with a 72 filter, it seems to me that the exposures were more like 5-8 seconds. Maybe there is more IR filtering in the K10d.
james_oneill
Seems like a combination of more IR filtering on the sensor and a lower natural ISO. This one http://www.photo.net/photo/1425347 won a competition a couple of years ago which was a digital IR with my compact. I tested the *ist-D with an IR filter but only ever took a couple of pictures with it.
jbphoto1
ANy idea why your shutter speeds were so long? I shot some w/the same filter on the K100d and I think my slowest speed was 1/8 second at 200 ASA. Are you stopping down a lot?
