mercsadies
I have been using Photoshop CS3 in conjunction with Photoshop CS2. I wasn't paying too much attention to which version I was using ... as I was quite happy with the new additions to CS3. But - has anyone had any printing issues with CS3? I am getting muddy prints (inkjet to regular paper) when before I was happy with my inkjet printouts. I am only guessing that this is because I used CS3 instead of CS2. Is anyone else getting this? The files look as they did (in CS2) so I would have expected the same results. Has anyone sent in lab prints with CS3 yet? Perhaps there is something set differently that I need to change. William Kahn
I think there is a problem with communication between CS3 and the printer dialog, at least with the Epson 2200. Sizing the image in Print With Preview (or the CS3 version of that) does not carry through to the printer dialog. Because of that, I haven't gotten as far as actually printing with CS3 yet. Hopefully, it's a Beta anomaly that will be fixed before CS3 is released....
blueviews
On the Epson 4800, the print dialog boxes suggests that the printer drivers are no longer working correctly, color correction is crossed out and the dialog box says that the feature is not available in this version of the driver. Check to make sure your printer paper setup profiles haven't changed. Bill
jgaines
You should check out the Adobe forum for CS3 beta. There you will find lots of items about it and known issues with printing. http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/categories.cfm?forumid=72&catid=626&CFID=24675269&CFTOKEN=940cfd47fb06aea1-CA04D1D4-A204-93A4-B4C4D53616EB460F&jsessionid=48304b5861d02f325769 Jim
mercsadies
I found the problem - there is a spot in the new printer dialog box that says "let the printer handle color" or "use photoshop to manage color" ... it was set on "printer" and should have been "photoshop."
