david_toerge
Does anyone else experience softness with the 24-70 2.8/? The barrel moves side to side-is that normal. is very slow focusing a camera or lens issue? thanks for any help . david
digitmstr
Mine focuses extremely fast and it's sharp. However, people mean different things when they say "slow focusing" so, let me ask you: do you mean that the fous mechanism of the lens is slow OR that it takes you some time to LOCK/achieve focus. The latter would be a camera/technique issue, the former would be a lens issue.
marknagel
When you say slow, compared to what? This should be a very fast focusing lens. Mark

david_toerge
the front of the barrel seems to move at least 1 mm maybe 2-it's hard for me to judge. It just seems to me that a lens should not move like this
