jeffrey_kempster
You move the focus point by using the 4 way controller. Put in in P mode, unlock the 4-way and then use the arrows to move the focus point around. It is pretty easy to bump.
daryl_charles
But why do I have to do that now? Before when i got the camera i used to operate on manual and everything was fine...i have never even used the P mode before...i thought it would have something to do with the AF mode settings...??? paul_sokal___dallas__tx
The focus point is selected by using the single focus point mode, then selecting which focus point you want to use with the selector button on the back. You probably inadvertently unlocked and changed the focus point. It happens. It has nothing to to do with P mode. This should all be explained in the manual. If you haven't read it yet, set it on back of your toilet. Nikon manuals make great bathroom reading :-)
