martin_alston
I recently had to use Lexar Photo Rescue to recover some images of a CF card that I accidentally formatted. The program found about 250 images but there are about 20 of them that show as a Canon CR2 RAW file but aren't recognized by Adobe DNG converter. I can't open them in PS CS2 or Canon's PhotoStudio. Any idea how I can open these files? A couple of them are important.
w.smith
Have you tried Adobe DNG Converter? If you have OSX here is a 3.6beta: http://download.yousendit.com/A863C112401F34E2
w.smith
OOPS! Didn't read properly! Sorry!
w.smith
Maybe they aren't RAW files? Have you tried other editors? Like PhotoLine32 (http:// www.pl32.com/), or GraphicConverter (http://www.lemkesoft.com/en/index.htm)?
david cunningham
i had the same sort of problem before. the rescue program saved the images with a tiff or jpg extension even though they were cr2 files. try doing a batch rename and change the extension back to .cr2
martin_alston
I've tried CS2 and PhotoStudio. I did a batch rename and they already had a .cr2 extension at the end. They are all some of the last images I shot on the card before formatting. I still can't get just those 20 to read.
