andreyantov
Does anyone know what kind of modes on Nikon D200, or plug-ins for PhotoShop so I can achieve the same results on the digital image as if I have shot it on Velvia 50?
sattler123
Look up Alien Skin - it is a PS plug-in that lets you chose between different film looks - it's not cheap, but you can try it out for 30 days - fully functional.
andreyantov
thanks a lot! Which one in particular? Is it only one type?
robert lee
Before spending money, try first boosting saturation and increasing contrast in Photoshop.
mike butler
Fred Miranda has a Velvia plug-in, too, or at least he did the last time I looked a couple of weeks ago.
luminous world
Go to the adobe website. There's many PS actions there which you can download. some of them are designed to mimic Velvia
pete_flanagan1
You'd be best to boost your saturation and contrast in your raw converter.
antonio_carusone
All you need is Levels and Curves in Photoshop to get the saturation found in Velvia. First use the Levels to make the whites white and the blacks black then use Curves to saturate the colors and to bump up the contrast.

jim_hein
The Velvia look is much more than just cranking up the saturation. A much better way is to use this free action. It converts your image to LAB space adjusts the saturation and then back to RGB space. Highly recommended. http://www.thelightsrightstudio.com/TLRDigitalVelvia.htm Jim
