sfcole
When I connect my camera to my Mac to download my photos, the most annoying thing happens: i-Photo opens up and asks if I want to download. I have to then wait and close out i-Photo because it doesn't recognize RAW files anyway. It only happens when first connecting--I have the files set so that when opened individually on the desktop, they open in Elements. I've looked for a preference setting so that i-Photo doesn't open up, but can't find one. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to prevent i-Photo from starting up each time? I suppose I could trash the program, but I do have a lots of photos already saved in it. thanks, Scott
david_papas
I am not sure about this because I long ago trashed iPhoto, but try going to "CD&DVD" panel in preferences and change Picture CD to "ignore". That may help.
david-m
In Applications go to Image Capture and open it - ignore the device not connected bit, then in preferences select 'when a camera is connected - do not open iphoto'. regards David
