mike_orgill
What kind of adapter is required to mount a SM lens on the K100D or the other cameras in that line? I keep reading in the product description that the SM lens requires an adapter, but there is never a description of the adapter.
jason_greenberg_motamedi
<p>You are looking for "<a href="http://www.pentaximaging.com/products/ product_details/camera_lens--Mount_Adapter_B/reqID--3108/subsection-- Digital_35mm_converters_adapters">Pentax Adapter B</a>", or a Screwmount/M42 to Pentax K-Mount Adapter. They are still available new from the large retailers, although they are easy to find used. If possible, try to find an original Pentax adapter, as some of the generic ones do not always reach infinity focus.</p> <p>Here is one dealer's listing:<br> <a href="http://www.adorama.com/PXAB.html?searchinfo=pentax% 20adapter&item_no=1">http://www.adorama.com/PXAB.html?searchinfo=pentax% 20adapter&item_no=1</a></p> <p> </p>
mawz
Any Screwmount adaptor that fits flush inside the lensmount will work. The ones that have a lip that fits over the mount to lock on the lens release pin will not maintain infinity focus.
