FA lenses working with DSLR?

FA....? Like in AF (auto focus?)

The D80 will work with a list (in the operating booklet) of Ais and non-D auto focus lenses, but the Ais lenses will only work in 'M' mode with you-guess-the-exposure technique.

The D200 has a method to program in your Ais lens, and the camera's metering will work.

Older non-D auto focus (AF) lenses will work with both the D80 and the D200, but the F3AF lenses won't.

FA lenses are 2nd generation Pentax AF lenses and will work fine on Pentax DSLR's.

Now if you're talking about lenses for a Nikon FA, these will be AI or AI-converted lenses and will work fine in Aperture Priority and Manual modes on the D200 and up. Lower-end bodies will mount these lenses and work in manual, but will not meter with them.

Tommaso,

As you can see, your question is not clear enough to answer with confidence.

I have a Nikon FA camera that served me well - ten years ago. On it I used Nikkor AI and AIS type lenses.

Today I happily use those same lenses on my Nikon D200 body.

But was that really your question?
