martin_alston
I'm working on a few pictures and doing a little sharpening using the smart sharpen filter. When I adjust the levels of sharpness everything looks great but them after the sharpening takes place the image goes right back to how it was before. I can't any difference in the image when I step back one spot in history or look at the current. The image stays sharp right until the progress bars get to the end and the sharpening is supposed to be complete. Why is it doing this?
jdarko
Sharpening is visible at 100% or more. Zoom in a bit, you should see it. If not, I dunno, beats me. =)
steve_bingham
Your preview image can be adjusted from 8% to 600% for viewing sharpness. I think you might be viewing at 100% or so and seeing the sharpening in preview. Go to history and compare while viewing at 100%.
martin_alston
Maybe it's just something I've never noticed but if you have the preview checked then the actual photo changes with the changes you make to the sliders. After clicking OK, the filter goes through the progress and then once it's done the image seems to soften up and not be as sharp as it was. I did notice that if I do 500% sharpening then I can see a little difference when switching back and forth in history when zoomed in. Maybe I just never noticed it changing like that.
