photographydreams
hi! Could one of the resident photoshop experts please help me with this: When the automatic red eye removal isn't working (i.e. because it's actually white eye in someone with a cataract), what do I do to manually remove it? Thanks so much! Sarah
nancy s.
Remove it when you take the photo by moving the flash off the camera and onto a flash bracket or frame. Otherwise you get to clone it out very carefully so as to not make it look artificial.
kari douma
I think you are talking about after the image has been taken? Blow up the image huge to the eyes. Then use your laso tool with a 1-3 px feather to select the part that is red. After you have selected it, desaturate that part. Then, if it is too light grey. use your brush tool set to black at a low opacity - about 20%, and paint over the eye (with it still selected) until you like the color.
