richard_brown4
just cranked up my new 700 scanner...bought it to scan 24x66mm pano negs from a noblex and also the big 6x17cm negs from an artpan camera...the 35mm carrier automatically breaks the strip into what it thinks are separate frames. can you disable the auto feature and just get a strip of 2 of these to scan... and with medium format, you can configure the film up to 6x9 but not 6x17. once again, the great digital marketing scam has taken my $$$ and made my life more complicated. i should be planning my trip to mexico to shoot FILM! anybody out there familiar with this ....thanks from the frozen north..richard
AaronFalkenberg
If you are using Epson Scan in professional mode, you need to uncheck "thumbnail" at the bottom of the window. It works great for cut slides, but I've never been able to get correct framing from strips. Instead, you'll get a preview of the whole scanning area, and then simply use the marquee to select around the frame you want.
steven_clark
Turning off auto-thumbnailing is almost always a good idea, especially if you're scanning something other than 24x36mm images.
