aleth_phos
Does Canon's double rebate mean that if you buy a 5D (rebate amt: $300) and a 24-70/2.8L (rebate: $50), you get $700 back? Looks like an extremely tempting deal. Does this mean that Canon may announce a successor to 5D before next summer?
eshifri
1.Yes. 2. Who knows?

anson_ko
Only if you purchase from a Canon Authorized dealer with receipt.
edd_nava
"If you buy two." Meaning if you buy (2) qualifying canon items. Not two 5D's. Like you said, buy one 5D and one qualifying lens with a $50 rebate, then you get the DOUBLE REBATE, $600 for the 5D and $100 for the lens, giving you a total of $
jay a. frew
"Does this mean that Canon may announce a successor to 5D before next summer?" I do not know about that.....but....the huge rebate offers DO confirm (to me at least) that DSLR buyers are being gouged. Cheers! Jay
greg lockrey
No...up to two of the same item. Any more won't get you any more rebate. But you will get a rebate for every item that has one. To get $700 off, you have to buy 2 cameras and 2 lenses of the same type. Buying three cameras or lenses won't add to the rebate unless it's a different camera and/or lens. Seems weird but that's how it is on the rebate chart.
