Canon's double rebate means $700 off on 5D+lens?

"If you buy two."

Meaning if you buy (2) qualifying canon items. Not two 5D's. Like you said, buy one 5D and one qualifying lens with a $50 rebate, then you get the DOUBLE REBATE, $600 for the 5D and $100 for the lens, giving you a total of $700

No...up to two of the same item. Any more won't get you any more rebate. But you will get a rebate for every item that has one. To get $700 off, you have to buy 2 cameras and 2 lenses of the same type. Buying three cameras or lenses won't add to the rebate unless it's a different camera and/or lens. Seems weird but that's how it is on the rebate chart.
