jean_.
It seems that the leica brand is still strong. The spot is for the upcoming "origami" from Microsoft. I was amazed to see what camera was chosen to underline the message of the spot, and how beautifully it works. The camera itself is also a little surprise, as you will see. Should they have got something from Solms? We'll have to wait until later this year to know.. Given the effort they put into integrating that camera in the spot, apparently the brand behind it has been considered powerful enough to make it worthwile. I mean, any other camera right of the shelf would have done it, but instead - but see for yourself! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHgkZ-yIQfM

andrew1
Am I missing something here? This video was released a year ago, and the camera featured is the Pano-Leica Digilux 2, introduced in December of 2003. Looks like it's already been discontinued, BTW. kai_griffin
And as for that Microsoft "tablet" thing - it's an Etch-a-Sketch dressed as... as... something a lot uglier than an Etch-a-Sketch!

steve_larese1
I appreciate the motorwind sound over, is that an F3? Is that what a real camera is still supposed to sound like? Or did the camera have a motordrive sound mode? I know Pentax's meow when you turn them on, I like that :)
