paul_wilson2
I think this will be a somewhat unusual question and, strictlyspeaking, isn't a medium format problem. However, here goes... Awhile ago I purchesed a Cabin 667 projector which I got quite cheapbecause it was missing the metal slide holder that goes in and out ofthe projector. This is the model before the current Cabin 67projector and is the same basic type but a completely different model. I soldered up a replacement slide holder out of brass sheet and angleand it works quite well (which is good, it was a lot of work). Theprojected slides are very sharp and I'm happy with it except for onething. Some of the slides I'm projecting are either Scala or Ilford processedby DR5. I always get the neutral development done yet the slides alllook sepia toned when projected. Is there any filter I can use tomake them neutral again? I'm also wondering if the problem isn't thebrass carrier. It's just bare brass right now and maybe there arereflections off it that are enough to impart the sepia tone. However, the carrier doesn't appear to be in the light path that I can see. Any ideas on a filter would be appreciated.
douglas_price
How about painting it matte black? Perhaps it is the tungsten light source? You could try blue filters designed for tungsten filtration.
