eyadnalsamman
I am not sure if the lens [Takumar-A Zoom 1:4 70-200mm MACRO] would fit perfectly on my old Pentax ME. I will cost me around $65.00 US with its plastic lens's cover and its holding leather bag. I hope that you can possibly comment on this price. I want to use it in the MACRO photography but I cannot find any guide or manual for it. Could you possibly advice me on its current price, its abilities in capturing MACRO photos, and where could I find a manual for this lens? Thank you so much for your help.<div></div>
strpichu
It will fit, it's the standard K mount.... price is OK also. But, the magnification won't be over 1:4 so unless you have/want to invest in some conversion lenses/tubes it won't do macro....
anthony pagano
For macro fotography you might be off using a standard lens with extention tubes, which might even workout cheaper than the zoom, not to mention the superior optical quality of a standard Pentax lens. The Takumar-A Zoom 1:4 70-200mm MACRO is not one of Pentax's best zooms; the 70-210 F 1:4 SMC-A is a better zoom lens in that range. Dont forget the Pentax 50mm F 1:4 macro which can be bought very cheaply these days.
eyadnalsamman
Dear Vid and Anthony. Thank you so much for your comments but as a beginner I am sorry to say that I do not know what do you mean exactly by saying extension tubes or tubes? Could you guide me to a web site which explains photography terminologies? Thanks for help.
anthony pagano
Eyad Check out the following link; if you scroll down the page you will find an instruction booklet for Pentax extention tubes which you can download. http://www.pentax.com/docstore/index.cfm?show=
ben conover
Hey there Eyad, I bought a set of extension tubes for a few bucks on ebay, excellent tools for cheap macro with existing lenses. Cheers.
