watts Posted November 21, 2002 Share Posted November 21, 2002 Can't say I'm very keen on these kind of questions (a bit schoolboyish?) but if I was pushed to answer I would say the Canon 28-70/2.8L zoom. It's a big heavy brute but optically it is simply superb. If it had to be a Leica lens I would probably keep the Tri-Elmar. (The F4 maximum aperture would be a pain to live with but it's general excellence across 3 useful focal lengths just cannot be overlooked when you are limited to a single lens.)
