jonathan_walker
Ilost my 308 a couple weeks ago on a foray in Annapolis Maryland. Ihave a wedding coming up and need to replace it. I liked the 308 --it works great, it does flash (although not ratios). It was small --I want something small because I travel a lot. But I'd like something a little more rugged -- any suggestions? scott_doffek
Is the Sekonic 358 to large for your tastes? If not it certainly has served me well, and I would recommend it again.

david-m
I have used the little 308 for years on big expedition trips (on my bicycle) all over the world - and it has been perfect. I also have had 2 608s that have refused to work properly even though they never left the studio? Arrgghh! Stay with the beautifully simply and cheap 308. ilkka
Isn't the new 308 waterproof? That should make it a bit more rugged than before. I think the 308 is way more rugged than some bigger and more expensive meters that have twisting heads. Get two 308s to have a backup as well. Still smaller than one big meter that can break or get lost just as easily.

ilkka
"Gossen F2 Luna Star...Half the size Half the weight" What are you comparing it to? Luna Star is bigger in every dimension, almost twice as heavy and 2 1/2 times the price of Sekonic 308.
