frederick_muller
Nice shots, both B&W AND color. What aperture were these shot at? f4?
frederick_muller
btw, it would be interesting to crop into the tree branches on the upper left of the last shot and check out the detail ...
andrew1
Harry- Newnham is your college? Isn't it a women's college? My sister did her tripos there ten years ago.
Some lovely shots, by the way. Reminds me of the time I spent there visiting her, wandering around with a camera round my neck. Enjoy your new lens. simonpg
Thanks Harry - nice use of it too! Interestingly, I've wondered if I'd get much use from a Tri-Elmar when travelling since I do not use anything wider than 35mm. But, your use of it at 28mm (I think a couple of your shots are at 28mm) makes it very tempting.
j_t3
Good job Harry, thanks for sharing. I have a tri-elmar in my bag but I have not used it nearly enough. I think it's just force of habit but after viewing your images I think I'll give it some use this weekend. I particularly liked photo 2 and photo 5. Nice feel to them. Enjoy your new lens in good health.

HarryBaker
Thanks for your kind comments. Most pictures taken at F4/F5.6 Andrew, Newnham remains a college for women students but there are a few men amongst the senior membership. I teach medical psychology there and I'm one of the graduate tutors responsible for clinical students and science grad students.

j_t3
I have only one very significant question for you Harry.... How does a guy get to be 'one of the few guys' at an all girls college? Doesn't sound too bad a deal to me...
