Last one for now...

Thanks to all for your kindness and concern. If you would like to do something to help please contact your Congressmen and ask them to PLEASE help New Orleans. The City is broke and virtually non-functional. Congress is reluctant to provide the help we need because of fears that the money will be wasted by incompetent and corrupt politicians here. But the sense here is that there is a new wind blowing that will change politics for the better. But help is needed NOW if New Orleans has any chance of recovering. Tell them to put whatever controls are needed on the money... but just do it quickly. Thanks...

Dennis, I was looking at the entire series of your Katrina photo-posts yesterday, actually

sending the links to a family member who lives in Folsom, Louisiana, who may not have

yet gotten into the city to see what's what. It strikes me that the series would make a fine

publication.

I deveolped my first roll of film since Katrina yesterday! Still can't print but everything looks the same after a while. We are going to St bernard on last time tommorrow, just to be theres nothing we are leaving behind that we may want. Is your darkroom functional? How about "The Darkroom" is it open? Email me if you can.

Great pics by the way.

Dennis: I know that PN has an exceptionally low tolerance for expressions of political

thought, but when you said that the U.S. Congress was afraid that corrupt and/or

incompetent politicians in LA would misuse funds intended for the recovery of New

Orleans, I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud! There couldn't possibly be

politicians in LA any more corrupt/incompetent than we already have in the Congress and

in Washington, DC in general. Heaven help us! Maybe we should apply to Bangladesh for

foreign aid.
