frank r
I just picked up a Sinar Six light meter. The battery was dead, so I did my research and bought an alkaline PX 625 battery just to test it. The meter needle now moves but just barely. I don't know if the meter is not working or I am doing something wrong. I found a couple of nice links in the archives but none that seemed to help. Does anyone know what is wrong? Does anyone have a manual for this meter?
donald_brewster
The manuals are out there on the web, though usually for sale. A lot of info can be found here: http://www.johndesq.com/pinhole/booster.htm
gene_nieminen
The mercury battery is no longer made by anyone as far as I have been able to tell. Heard that a German company made em .. No luck. The voltage is different with the alkaline batteries; the meter would have to be calibrated with the new batteries to have any accuracy. A job for an expert? Maybe some can instruct the procedure?
