darcy_cote
Are these cameras being built any more? If not, anybody know the selling price of them when they were manufactured? Darcy
steve_hamley
No and no. They currently bring about $400 - $450 in pristine condition, likely because of their light weight. Steve
Troll
No longer made, unfortunately. I think it cost me $225 (new)from Honolulu in the 1970s. I used it for two workshops at the ICP, and it's been in it's original box ever since, except when I take it out to fondle. I also have a 5x7 extension back for it, which raises the total weight all the way up to about 4 pounds!
oren_grad
Nagaoka Seisakusho is still very much in business, offering view cameras in formats from 6x9cm to 8x10" as well as a newer line of pinhole cameras. The camera designs have changed a bit from the 4x5 model most frequently seen used here in the US, but are still very lightweight for their respective formats. However, they do not currently have an importer in the US. Current pricing in Japan for the view cameras is as follows:

45D...Y88,000
45DII...Y105,000
45W...Y88,000
57A...Y160,000
57AII...Y190,000
810DX...Y200,
Troll
I'm certainly delighted to hear that they're still active. When I bought my camera, it was reported to be a one-man operation, and he was rather elderly even then. I'd love to have one of their new 5x7s.
