mal_yas
hi, I was trying to check a D2h's shutter counts using Opanda software 2.25 but nothing showed thing like total shutter release...Does it require special file to check..the file was a jpeg.Hope to hear, thanks
lex_jenkins
It's been a while since I tried Opanda's software but as I recall only one version showed the total number of shutter cycles for my D2H. If the alternate version is still available as trialware you might give it a try.
dennisprice
IExif should work fine with a jpeg file direct from your camera, but not a jpeg'd one from Photoshop. Scroll down to near the very bottom. You will see an entry labeled "Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera" followed by the value.
mal_yas
Thanks, so may be the Jpeg file that I used was processed externally.
dennisprice
Many applications either ignore parts of the Nikon in-camera EXIF data, or strip some of it off, so yes, you need to use a jpeg straight from the camera in order for IExif to see the proper shutter count entry. ger_vermeulen
Many applications besides ignore and strip also distroy the EXIF information like shutter count. I'am thinking of a feature in GexifView for checking the EXIF and returning a warning when corruption found or suspected.
