ken_pops
Has anyone tried to use a Hasselblad 4504 Flash with a modern Rollei Shoe (SCA 3562). I'm trying to trigger the 4504 using a 6008AF but the camera doesn't read that a flash is connected. Is the 4504 differenct than Metz 45 in that it doesn't take alternative shoes? If anyone has any experience with this I'd appreciate it. Thanks,Ken Pops
jean-louis llech
Never used a Hasselblad flash. But I fear that they are dedicated only for Blad cameras. And SCA adapters were made by Metz-Mecablitz to adapt one Metz flash to third-party camera brands, not to adapt a Blad flash on a Rollei body.. q.g._de_bakker
Ken,

The "Hasselblad" 4504 is a Metz 45 CT-4 with the Hasselblad SCA adapter already built-in. Hard-wired.
As a result, it will only work in dedicated TTL-mode with Hasselblad cameras. There's no option allowing the Hasselblad-circuitry to be bypasssed, and another SCA-adapter to be connected.
Using a regular PC-cord, you can use it in non-TTL auto and manual modes with any camera, of course.
