lutz
Well, folks - I like to keep my promisses. So, <A HREF="http://www.konermann.net/scoop.html">here it is</A>.<BR><BR>Although I'm very taken these days, I've decided to open a <A HREF="http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/lutzkonermann/slingorder.paypal.temp.html">temporary sales window</A> onto my goodies. Sorry, no Slides, no Hooks for the next time being. Nevertheless enjoy - and happy shooting!

lutz
Well, according to Murphy's "your server is most likely to break down the very day you plan a web presentation"... :o(<BR><BR>I've put up a <A HREF="http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/lutzkonermann/ slingorder.paypal.temp.html">mirror site</A>. So, once more: Here's the <A HREF="http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/lutzkonermann/ scoop.html">Scoop</A>. Enjoy.

richardvanle
Lutz, I'm not trying to be smartass, but what does the scoop improve upon? When you first mentioned this product in another thread, I thought it was going to be some sort of plastic cover that you could put on older M cameras' eyepiece so the metal wouldn't scratch your glasses. But looking at the photo of the Scoop, I'm trying to figure out what it does. Block out extraneaous light?
lutz
It blocks out extraneous light, yes, prevents glasses from scratching as it adds a millimeter or two in distance (which, with glasses, may of course leed to cropping of the viewfinder - we have to die one death, don't we? - but is of no importance for viewing without glasses) and gives a more ergonomically comfortable shape to the body, i.e. your brow may rest on top. Thus the 1.25x magnifier won't poke into your eyeball more than Oskar would have liked it...;o) Bests.
richardvanle
Ahh... now I get it. Thanks, Lutz.
albert knapp md
Lutz: Well done and I want to purchase the SCOOP. BUT... when I clicked on the e-mail order form, it states that you are not producing/shipping at this time. What gives??
giles_poilu
Lutz, good stuff! How is it attached to the camera?
lutz
The Scoop has a 16mm hole at its center and is held in place by the 17mm rubber rim of the viewfinder thread. To put it on you gently press the semi-rigid PET around that rim like the tyre of a bike - got the idea? <BR><BR> As for orders, I've provided the link of a temporary mirror site in my second post from above. Cheers.
