elaine_moore1
I'm having an extremely frustrating problem involving Photoshop CS and my two Epson Printers. I've re-installed both printers several times and gone to both Epson & PS websites for help but am lost. Here's the problem: Everything was fine when I was using Photoshop 7 but when I upgraded to Photoshop CS, the problems began. Now, the photo I see on my monitor is not printed (using Photoshop CS) accurately by either of my Epson printers (2000P & 785EXP). I did the calibration set-up, and have tried a variety of recommended settings without success. But here is what's interesting: I CAN print the photos successfully on both of these printers if I load the same picture file into MS Publisher 2000. I am using Windows XP Thank you. bob_bicknell
Hi Elaine When you print look at the "print preview" screen check the print space (I think) on the bottom. In here I would normally specify the printer or printer and paper. Used to have a 785EPX and if this was not specified properly prints were horrible. I have r2400 now and screen is a bit different but same rules apply. Hope this helps. Bob Hope this helps
bobmichaels
I'd put my money on a color space mismatch. Could it be that in the printer driver (the PS CS part) you are specifying that the printer use a color space different than PS CS is using? Do a "print with preview" and make sure the first dialog box, down under "print space" the profile selection is "same as source". (This may be "no color adjustment" if you actually have CS2) Remember this first dialog box is part of PS not the Epson printer driver.
elaine_moore1
Thank you, Two Bobs! However, selecting "Same as Source" in the Print Preview box didn't help. Any other ideas?
bob_bicknell
Try the printer rather than "same as source" Aslo in the setup boxes check "advanced" and set ICM (I think) The idea is to let the priner drivers do the driving Bob
