doug_johnson2
I have a box of Epson Archival Matte Paper from a couple years back. I cannot recall which side is the proper print side. I can't really tell that either side feels any different. One side is a bright white color while the other side is a little more dull. Can anyone tell me which is the correct side? steve_garber
Use the brighter side, as stated in the direction sheet for Epson papers.........

robert_k1
If you are indeed using Archival Matte, the print side is the one without the arrows. Very obvious.
galitsos
For any paper. Moisten with your tongue lightly your finger. The side that sticks a little is the coated side.(Not mine, I saw it on Hahnemuhle papers but works fine on many papers). G.G.
