kirstin_dougherty1
Hello, A few months back I purchased an used Mamiya RB67 Pro camera and loveit. I honestly didn't have a chance to use in in the past month andtoday when I went to use it, I noticed that the shutter cocking leverwill not move forward. Does anyone know what aside from taking thecamera to a camera shop I can do about it. Might this problem be dueto dirt (I confess, I never got a chance to get it cleaned) or tosomething else? It was in working order for the two months that Iused it, and when it wasn't in use it was stored in a hard case so itwould not be damaged. Also, for the release lock, is it the yellow/gold dot or the white dot? dimartino
You can't cock the camera because your filmback has no film in it. To the right of the film advance lever there is a smaller lever. Push it forward to reveal the read dot and depress the shutter release on the front... Recock away!
dimartino
PS. Don't forget to remove the darkslide ;>)
kirstin_dougherty1
I actually just put a new roll of film in and it still will not go. I made sure the darkslide was out and the cocking lever will still not go forward and the shutter will still not go in, even when changing from lock to unlock. Am I doing something wrong? marck mcgill
Did you pull out the lens and checked if all the gear of the rotating pins and the shutter works fine alone?
kirstin_dougherty1
I checked the lens and it is on correctly, the shutter will no go though. It worked earlier but then once the shutter lever wouldn't cock, the shutter wouldn't work.
marck mcgill
Did you try to fire the shutter by pushing the small button and turning the pins?
kirstin_dougherty1
Yes, I even tried putting a release cable in the shutter button and nothing would work.
