sergey_dubrov
My FED-3 yesterday has broken. Now I am going to get on www.cameraquest Bessa-R for the collapsible LTM Summitar 50/2.0. Tell, whether there is somebody who has an experience of usage of a similar kind of pair "collapsible lens LTM Summitar 50/2.0+Bessa-R body" with completely collapsed lens into the camera? thanks a lot for the answer. joseph_esmilla
The summitar does not collapse fully on my Bessa R but it works great extended. I don't think any of the classic collapsibles Summicron, Elmar or Industar-10/22/50 will either. The internal construction of the Bessa R is too tight due to light baffles that get in the way of the collapsing barrel.
frederick_muller
I suggest you read the very extensive Cameraquest website discussion on the subject, including lists of which lenses will and will not mount. good luck.
jeff_wilson13
Completely collapsed? That would be with a twelve ounce mallet.
b2 -
Another less expensive option would be to put a rubberband on the lens to keep it from collapsing completely. A large black o-ring would work too. I'm not sure if it is the light baffels or the extra shutter. Best answer is to check the cameraquest web sight or join the CV discussion group and post a question. Hundreds of years of experience with cameras there, tons of answers.
