klm
So I am talking to the webdesigner today and I was wondering if anyone had any advice. We are working on a website that is devoted strictly to wedding photography. Are there any things they have found worked really well for them, or things that they found didnt work so well. mark_jacoby___raleigh__nc
A quick thought from my meeting with the web guy that did our site. The longer you keep them on your site the better. We have a lot of text and a lot of images and a lot of pages. You might think that people don't have the patience to wade through so much text but brides are not ordinary web shoppers. If they like your work they will read every word to get to know you as much as possible. Also try to make a connection with the bride at some level. Easier in my opinion for a lady photographer than a guy.
jennea
Kimberly, I was looking at your current site (I am a photographer and webmaster by trade) and noticed that at certain times (most noticeably on your contact page) the font color chosen made it hard for some of the text to be read easily. In the noted example, your name and email are white and somewhat blend with the background. This could be problematic if someone wanted to contact you to photograph their wedding. My solution, stay away from text on photos. It can rarely be effective. J
