stephen_bay
It's a piece of foam sandwiched between two sheets of paper. It comes in sheets like cardboard. I use various different sizes of foamcore as reflectors or to block the light.
brooks short
And because the core is foam, it's lighter, stifer and thicker than cardboard. There's also a similar product called Gator-Foam. It's full of.....stiffer foam and has a paper covering but also very light. Gator foam is much sturdier than foam-core, won't bend corners easily and is available in thicker and larger sizes. You could build furniture out of Gator-Foam.

patrick_viebey___orlando__
If you've ever been to a science fair, it's what they use for their 'presentations'. Also makes a handy, cheap and disposable reflector for photography... You can buy it in any office supply store (look for the presentation stuff).... scott_walton2
As the above have stated, foamcore is a great reflector and is easily found in office stores, craft and art stores. If you need very large pieces, they make different thickness, the thickest is called Gator Foam.
