larrydressler
Well as per a discussion with another photographer who said to me that Diafine was not good with flat lighting I decided to test his theory. It was real low light the sun was just comeing up on a slightly foggy morning. the shots were in the shade at the cematary however; on the river shots it was about 15 minutes later. but more fog. I was using a Minolta 370 45mm f2.0 lens most cematary shots were f4 at 30-60th of a second .. river shots were f 8-16 highest shutter speed 250th. scanned on an Epson 3170 only thing I did was a little sharpening on the reduction. http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=586964 Larry<div></div>
lex_jenkins
Tri-X in Diafine isn't particularly good for use in flat lighting, altho' the results can sometimes be interesting. However it's nothing that can't be fixed with careful dodging and burning using selective filtration on variable contrast paper.
