For those of you waiting for US availability, Amazon and B&H are shipping as well. In fact, if you type "psmar" in the B&H search field, they are offering 30D bodies for $1349 (or $50 off). jim_larson1 Posted March 30, 2006 Share Posted March 30, 2006 From what I see of Canon products . . . .I think you want to wait a full six monthes before buying any new Canon product. The 24-105/4L-IS had a recall in the first six months. The 580EX flash has the "zoom feature", which apparently was silently fixed in production. The 20D had the lockup issue corrected by firmware. .. . Apparently the 5D also has a number of firmware upgrades (but if you search the threads. . .the earliest 5D's can't be user upgraded 100%). derek_lee2 Posted April 1, 2006 Share Posted April 1, 2006 I've had my 30D since March 20, off ebay from hong kong. my 20d broke down after over 100 weddings march 17, i had to get something asap, couldn't wait for it to come out later. hmmmm, i will post if i encounter problems with my NOOB camera!
