larrydressler
OK I have this Kiev 303 will the Minox preloads from J&C fit it? I have a few rolls of very outdated soviet film but I don't want to use it it is more for my self pleasure of just keeping it. I would like to use the camera I even have a reel for my tank. Would getting a roll of 16mm film be worth it and would that be single or double sprocket film? I also have heard of film splitters from 35mm. any place to get these? Bill Bowes
Hello everyone. The Kiev will indeed produce some very good negs and is easy to use. The Kiev film cassettes WILL NOT work in a Minolta 16, but the Minolta 16 cassettes will work in the Kiev. When I reload a M-16 for the Kiev, I only use a length of film that is about 15 exposures. Pamper the Kiev cassettes (for show). I get excellent negs using Ilford FP-4 and PMK-Pyro (purchased 16mm reloads or my own slit film). Enjoy, Bill
