sandtonman
HI I created my first light tent out of a semi-transparent plastic and two 500 W Tungsten flood lights. Now I am thinking more carefully at what type of lamps and material I need for my second light box experiment. For materials rip-stop nylon and also I will try white Chaffron (what girls ware :-)). Any other suggestion on material? For Lighting, I would like your advice..I may just try some 150 W day light bulbls...but I would like some suggestions...maybe some pro lights.. I need a third light which I can put on top of the light tent, or project forward on the Jewelry for speculative effect. My current setup, I am getting most of my photos underexposed, so I am having to increase the exposure by +1 E/V cheers
image creations
Think of your light tent needing to be a cube with one side not enclosed and you'll be well on your way to a good solution. White rip-stop nylon does a good job and should be available at a local craft or fabric store. Actually you really only need four sides of fabric; sides, back and top. The bottom can be whatever you want unless you need to illuminate from underneath for anything. Your 2 500w lights should be enough, they just need to be difused properly. sandtonman
Thanks for the reply. I assumed that the Material in the light box (rip-stop nylon) acts as the diffuser...do I need another diffuser?
