Hasselblad hoods from HK

Does anyone have any experience with the lens hoods out of Hong Kong that are "for Hasselblad". At $30-40 incl shipping, they are still less than 1/2 the Hasselblad prices.

Not expensive. In HK, this hood is selling at about US$40. Please note that this hood is made in China. I never use it so I have no idea how good it is.

Compared to over 100 USD for a Hasselblad brand hood, the HK hoods are bargain. I would pay for optics or mechanicals like on a lens, body or back, but I'm failing to see the precision engineering on a plastic hood.

 

I'm considering the pro hoods on eBay as a viable alternative. Better performance at similar cost to a single new Hasselblad plastic hood.

For serious shooting, I would use the Hasselblad ProShade instead of the plastic ones. The 100-250 cannot be effective for the whole range. If it's optimized for the short end, then it's compromise on the long side.

Gary, judging from the photos the hoods are exactly like the ones I bought in Shanghai. They are most likely manufactured in China, and over here you can get one for around $25. I use them when I shoot the streets. They are smaller and easier to carry v.s. the pro shade, which I use mostly in the studio.
